Why Cheese discoveries?
I've always been a big cheese lover. As a student, I bought the cheapest and (most tasteless) cheeses to make croque monsieurs, but over the years my passion grew and my taste refined. I delved deeper into the wonderful world of cheese and recently became a certified cheese master. By making making my own cheese and sharing my knowledge with family and friends, I discovered that surprisingly little is known about cheese. You can really learn to taste and appreciate cheese.
My goal is to give the opportunity to everyone to discover cheese in all its flavors, scents and forms through interactive cheeseworkshops and organised cheese tours.

Workshops: Dive in the world of cheese
The definition of a workshop is as follows: “A workshop is a working method in which active participation plays an important role. It is a working method in which theory and practice can come together.”
This is exactly what Cheese discoveries wants to achieve with the cheese workshops. Through a combination of a basic layer of theory with interesting facts and delicious tastings, Cheese discoveries makes cheese more accessible to all participants. Whether you are a beginner or already a cheese fan, Cheese discoveries adapts as much as possible to its audience.
What does Cheese discoveries stand for?
Cheese discoveries is all about workshops and travel. It introduces you to the rich variety of cheeses and their unique flavours. Cheese discoveries does this from its own experience and knowledge.
-
Certified Cheese Master
With cheese master Bart, Cheese discoveries shares the passion in his own way. Cheese discoveries is not tied to a cheese maker or cheese shop, which allows to offer a broad and independent perspective on the world of cheese.
-
Experienced in making cheese
Cheese master Bart enjoys making Camembert, Munster, Belper Knolle, Port Salut and fresh cheeses. Occasionally he experiments with new types. This way Cheese discoveries keeps expanding its knowledge and shares this during the workshops.
-
Visit of cheese regions
Cheese master Bart enjoys visiting cheese regions and discovering the authentic cheese process at cheese farms, affineurs, and cheese shops. Markets and tastings are also regular stops. In the future, Cheese discoveries wants to share its passion for cheese through organised trips and travel.
